PVC plastic is not only used in wire and cable insulation, but also widely used in sheaths. Used as a sheath, PVC plastic requires good corrosion resistance, sufficient mechanical properties, softness, easy processing and laying. The main sheathed PVC plastics are as follows:
- Model H-70, long-term working temperature 70 °C or 80 °C, to achieve a certain mechanical strength, while having good heat resistance, photoaging and cold resistance, of which long-term working temperature of 70 °C sheathed polyvinyl chloride is mainly used in 450/750V and below wire and cable, 80 °C is used for 26/35kV and below power cable sheath.
- Model HR-70, long-term working temperature 70 °C or 80 °C, good flexibility and cold resistance, used for 450/750V and below flexible wire and cable.
- Model H I-90, long-term working temperature 90 °C, good heat resistance, mechanical strength is sufficient, used for 26/35kV and below power cables.
- Model H II-90, long-term working temperature 90 °C, good heat resistance, sufficient mechanical strength, used for 450/750kV and below wire and cable.
